The reason I have taken an interest in this, is my donor car is a bit of a Frankenstein's monster when it comes to its parts. You see I have 2wd fronts, fine. At the rear I have a 7" diff and 273 mm solid disks. But I was told I had an Escort rear. This explains the 7" diff but the Escort has vented rear disks??? Mine has what look like 2wd rear disks but a 7" diff... now I'm confused.. but it all fits so hey who's counting ...
